Welcome to Kharcha Register ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

We collect information to provide better services to all our users:

• Local Data Storage: All your financial data, transactions, and ledgers are stored locally on your device using a local database. We do NOT collect or store your financial data on our servers.
• Google Drive Backup: If you opt-in for the backup feature, the App connects to your personal Google Drive account to save a backup of your data. We do not have access to your Google Drive or the backup files.
• Device Information: We may collect non-personally identifiable information such as device model, OS version, and crash logs for app improvement and bug fixing.

2. Use of Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

• Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use advertising IDs to serve personalized ads based on your interests.
• Google Play Services: Required for the functioning of Google Drive backups and other core Android features.

3. Permissions We Request

• Contacts: To allow you to easily select customers or friends when adding a pending payment (Udhar). We do not upload your contact list to any server.
• Storage / Media: To save generated PDF reports to your device and to attach profile/receipt images.
• Biometric / Fingerprint: To enable App Lock security. Biometric data never leaves your device.

4. Data Security

Your data security is our priority. Since your primary data is stored locally on your device or in your personal Google Drive account, you have full control over it. We recommend using the built-in App Lock feature (PIN/Fingerprint) to secure your data from unauthorized access on your device.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
